In what seemed like a really big decision today, we decided to extend an offer on the Ault property!
Will they accept the offer? Is this our new homestead?
Over the past week, we have worked hard to make our house ready to sell, as we knew that for the seller to be willing to accept our offer, they had to know that we were serious and that we would be ready to close in a reasonable timeframe.
Preparing to Sell
This has been a real headache, as while we love the house, the amount of mess and stuff that accumulates over years with a family is amazing. And then there is all of this house debt of stuff you just have not had the time to tackle which “comes due” all at once! Lauren and I have pitched in over the course of the holidays to tackle many of those things.
What’s next?
There really are a few things that we have to wait on now. The biggest question is: will they accept the offer? There’s just nothing that we can do to speed that up or make the decision go in our favor, the offer is submitted.
All we can do now is focus on preparing our house for sale, and if our offer is accepted, to start working as hard as we can to make sure it goes under contract quickly!
